Stephanie has been musical from an early age, starting with piano lessons, then playing the clarinet and alto saxophone for many years. She sang in choirs and musicals and began formal vocal training in her late teens. After moving to New York City in 1998, Stephanie started exploring the jazz and cabaret scene. She produced and performed her own show "Naughty Baby" at The Duplex and Danny’s Skylight Room. She studied with jazz vocalists Mark Murphy and Tierney Sutton, and has since continued her vocal explorations with Jonathan Hart Makwaia of NYU’s Experimental Theatre Wing and Roy Hart Voice Centre in France. She has performed at The Green Room 42, The Laurie Beechman Theatre, Triad Theater, The Kitano Hotel, Roxy Bar, the Nonstop Festival in Norway and many private events on the East Coast. Stephanie loves singing jazz standards and classic songs of any genre with unique arrangements and original alternate lyrics, blending vintage style with modern sensibility.
